Custom cookies sleeves are printed paperboard or kraft wraps that slide over a single cookie, a cookie stack, or a tray. They carry your logo, flavor, and label details while protecting the product. ONO Custom Boxes produces them in any size, with optional windows, grease-resistant coatings, and full-color branding for bakeries across the USA.
Most bakeries hit the same wall. The cookies are excellent, but the packaging doesn’t say so. A clear cello bag with a round sticker looks homemade on a café counter. It looks worse next to a competitor’s branded pack on a grocery shelf. Generic stock boxes rarely fit, so cookies slide, crack, and arrive with broken edges. Butter-rich recipes leave grease stains that make a premium product look cheap. Every holiday or new flavor means ordering a whole new box.
Custom cookie sleeves solve these problems at once. A well-made sleeve holds the cookie snugly, keeps oil from bleeding through, and turns every unit into a small billboard for your brand. It also costs a fraction of a fully printed rigid box. When the season changes, you swap the sleeve, not your whole bakery packaging system.
A cookie sleeve is an open-ended tube of printed board. You slide it over the product itself, over a cookie wrapped in a food-safe inner bag, or over a plain tray or base box. Since the sleeve does the branding, the inner packaging can stay simple and inexpensive.
At ONO Custom Boxes, we handle the whole build:
You bring the product and the brand. We engineer a sleeve that fits, protects, and sells.
We size for the cookie, not a catalog. A 4-inch chewy chocolate chip cookie, a stack of six shortbread rounds, and a decorated sugar cookie all need different internal dimensions and tolerances. We measure (or ask you to measure) the real product, with a small allowance for inner wrap thickness. That way the sleeve slides on cleanly and doesn’t rattle.
Low barrier to start. Our minimum order is just 100 units, and standard production runs 8 to 12 business days after proof approval. That makes it practical to test a new flavor, a pop-up event, or a seasonal line before committing to volume.
Food-business know-how. We regularly work with bakery clients on grease resistance, inner-wrap pairing, and label layout. We don’t treat cookie packaging like a generic printed box.
Transparent pricing. Every quote breaks down what drives the cost: size, stock, print colors, and finishes. You can see exactly where to save if budget is tight.
Digital proofs before production. You approve a flat proof and dieline before anything is printed. No surprises.
| Material | Best For | Look & Feel |
|---|---|---|
| Kraft paperboard | Artisan, organic, farmers’ market brands | Natural brown, rustic, eco-forward |
| White SBS paperboard | Bright full-color branding, retail shelves | Clean, premium, vivid print |
| Cardboard (thicker caliper) | Cookie stacks, heavier gift sets | Sturdy, rigid, protective |
| Grease-resistant coated board | Butter-rich, chocolate-heavy, or warm-packed cookies | Blocks oil spotting |
| Recyclable / uncoated stock | Sustainability-focused brands | Matte, minimal, curbside-recyclable |
Not sure which board fits your recipe? Tell us how buttery the cookie is and whether it’s packed warm. That decides whether you need a grease barrier more than anything else.
If you sell through grocery, café, or wholesale channels, your sleeve may need more than a logo. Plan space for:
We build these zones into your dieline so the design doesn’t get crowded at the last minute.
Lower cost per unit than full boxes. A sleeve uses less board than a printed folding carton. Your inner bag or tray can stay plain and inexpensive.
One base, many designs. Keep a single stock tray and change only the sleeve for pumpkin spice in fall, peppermint in winter, or a co-branded wedding favor. This is the biggest cost saver most bakeries miss.
Better shelf presence. A printed cookie sleeve with a logo makes your product recognizable from across a counter and photographable on social media.
Real protection. Snug sizing reduces breakage, and grease-resistant board keeps the package looking clean through the sale.
Eco-friendly positioning. Kraft and recyclable cookie sleeves reduce plastic use and support the sustainability message many customers now look for.
Faster packing. Slide-on sleeves are quick for staff to assemble during morning rushes, with no tape or folding required.
Sleeves are made from food-safe paperboard. For direct contact with unwrapped cookies, we recommend a food-grade coated board or pairing the sleeve with an inner glassine or cello bag. This is the standard approach for butter-rich products.
Price depends on size, quantity, material, and finishes. Unit cost drops noticeably as quantity rises. A one- or two-color kraft sleeve is the most budget-friendly option. Foil, embossing, and soft-touch add cost. Request a quote and we’ll show you options at several price points.
Uncoated kraft can spot with very buttery cookies. Choose our grease-resistant coated board, or use an inner wrap, and the outside stays clean.
Yes. We cut windows in any shape and can add a clear film patch when you need extra protection from dust and handling.
Yes. We supply a dieline for your designer, or our team can arrange your logo, colors, and required label text into a print-ready layout.
In most cases, yes. Many bakeries split a run across several flavors or seasonal designs on the same sleeve size. Ask about this when you request your quote.
Uncoated kraft and paperboard sleeves are widely recyclable curbside. Heavy laminations and foil can affect recyclability, so choose minimal finishes if sustainability is a priority.
Your cookies already earn repeat customers. Now give them packaging that earns attention the first time. Send us your cookie size, quantity, and logo, and our packaging team will recommend the right material, send a free quote, and prepare a proof for your approval.
At Ono Custom Boxes, our Artwork Preparation Guide helps ensure your custom packaging design is print-ready for high-quality results. To get started, submit vector files (AI, EPS, or PDF) in CMYK color mode, with a 1/8 inch bleed and 300 DPI resolution. Convert all text to outlines and keep it at least 1/4 inch from the edges. Review your proof to ensure accuracy before submitting. Following these steps will guarantee your design is perfectly printed on your custom boxes.

The cut line is the outline that marks where your custom packaging will be trimmed. It is typically represented by a solid black line in your artwork file.

The bleed line is the area extending beyond the cut line, usually marked with a green line in your artwork. Typically, a 1/8 inch (0.125") bleed is required to prevent any unwanted white borders.

The crease line, marked by red lines in your artwork, indicates where the box will be folded during production.

Perforation lines, shown as dotted black lines, indicate where the box will have small, evenly spaced holes for easy tearing or separation. These are often used for tear-away sections.

The safety margin, marked by dotted green lines, is the area around the cut line where important elements (such as text, logos, or graphics) should be kept clear.
