Sleeve cigarette boxes are two-piece cigarette packs where a printed outer sleeve slides over an inner tray or flip-top box. They protect the cigarettes, give brands two print surfaces, and create a premium unboxing feel. ONO Custom Boxes manufactures custom sleeve cigarette boxes in any size, stock, and finish, shipped across the United States.
Tobacco brands work with limits most industries never face. Advertising channels are tightly restricted, shelf space sits behind the counter, and buyers often decide in the few seconds a pack is in their hand. That leaves your packaging doing the job a full marketing campaign would do in another category.
The common problems we hear from tobacco brands and private-label buyers are consistent. Generic flip-top packs look like every other pack on the rack. Thin board crushes in transit and arrives with scuffed corners. Overseas suppliers quote low, then miss deadlines or deliver colors that don’t match the approved proof. And many packaging vendors don’t understand that cigarette packs need clean, correctly sized space for mandatory health warnings.
Custom sleeve cigarette boxes solve most of this in one format. The sleeve adds a structural layer, a second branding surface, and a sliding reveal that signals quality before the pack is even opened.
We design, print, and manufacture cigarette sleeve packaging for tobacco brands of every size, from specialty blenders launching a first line to distributors restocking established SKUs.
Each order includes two components built to fit together precisely:
You can order the full two-piece set or sleeves only for packs you already produce. Every job is dielined to your exact dimensions, so there is no forcing your product into a stock size.
Tolerance-driven sizing. A sleeve that’s 1 mm too loose slips off; 1 mm too tight tears the print when it slides. We build dielines around your actual pack and stick dimensions and test the slide fit on samples before running production.
Warning-panel awareness. We keep correctly proportioned space for the health warnings and regulatory text your compliance team specifies, so your artwork doesn’t need a late redesign. (Final regulatory content remains your team’s responsibility, and we’ll build to the specs you provide.)
Low entry point for new lines. Our minimum order is just 100 units, so specialty brands can test a new blend, limited edition, or private-label SKU without committing to tens of thousands of packs.
Color accuracy you can approve. We print CMYK and Pantone spot colors with digital and physical proofing options, so the shade on your brand guidelines is the shade on the shelf.
Free design support. Our structural and graphic designers prepare dielines, check artwork bleed and safe zones, and flag issues before anything goes to press.
Nationwide US shipping. We ship to brands, warehouses, and retailers in every state, with packaging packed flat and cartoned to protect edges in transit.
We produce packs for king size, 100s, slims, super slims, and short formats, plus custom dimensions for specialty cigarettes, cigarillos, and hand-rolled products. Provide your stick dimensions and count, and we’ll engineer the inner box and sleeve around them.
| Material | Best For |
|---|---|
| SBS paperboard (14–24 pt) | Bright, high-detail printing for mainstream and premium brands |
| Kraft paperboard | Natural, organic, or artisan tobacco positioning |
| Rigid board | Luxury gift packs and collector editions |
| Recycled paperboard | Brands with sustainability commitments |
Inner foil liners, tear strips, custom inserts, serialized or batch-coded panels, and barcode placement are all available.
Stronger shelf identity. With a sleeve, the outer surface carries your hero branding while the inner pack can hold secondary design, product details, or a surprise print revealed on opening.
Better product protection. The double layer adds rigidity at the corners and edges, where packs typically crush in pockets, cartons, and shipping cases.
Flexible SKU management. One standard inner pack can be paired with multiple printed sleeves for different blends, strengths, or editions. This cuts inventory complexity and lowers cost per new variant.
Premium perception. The sliding reveal feels deliberate and high-end, supporting higher price points for specialty and craft tobacco lines.
Private-label readiness. Retailers and distributors can sleeve existing stock with their own branding without re-engineering the inner pack.
Pricing depends on pack size, board type, print colors, finishes, and quantity. Unit cost drops significantly as volume rises, and foil or embossing adds cost per unit. For an accurate figure, request a quote with your specs. We itemize every cost so you can compare options.

Yes. Kraft cigarette sleeve boxes and recycled paperboard are popular with natural and artisan tobacco brands, and both print cleanly with a single-color or full-color design.

At Ono Custom Boxes, our Artwork Preparation Guide helps ensure your custom packaging design is print-ready for high-quality results. To get started, submit vector files (AI, EPS, or PDF) in CMYK color mode, with a 1/8 inch bleed and 300 DPI resolution. Convert all text to outlines and keep it at least 1/4 inch from the edges. Review your proof to ensure accuracy before submitting. Following these steps will guarantee your design is perfectly printed on your custom boxes.

The cut line is the outline that marks where your custom packaging will be trimmed. It is typically represented by a solid black line in your artwork file.

The bleed line is the area extending beyond the cut line, usually marked with a green line in your artwork. Typically, a 1/8 inch (0.125") bleed is required to prevent any unwanted white borders.

The crease line, marked by red lines in your artwork, indicates where the box will be folded during production.

Perforation lines, shown as dotted black lines, indicate where the box will have small, evenly spaced holes for easy tearing or separation. These are often used for tear-away sections.

The safety margin, marked by dotted green lines, is the area around the cut line where important elements (such as text, logos, or graphics) should be kept clear.
