Custom clothing hang tags are branded paper or cardstock labels attached to garments that display your logo, pricing, sizing, and brand story. Professionally printed apparel hang tags strengthen brand recognition, justify premium pricing, and improve the retail unboxing experience typically produced in 2–4 business days with wholesale pricing on bulk orders.
Picture two identical t-shirts hanging side by side in a boutique. One has a thick, textured kraft tag with debossed logo and twine string. The other has a flimsy white sticker. Which one looks like it’s worth $45?
That’s the problem most growing apparel brands face: the product is excellent, but the presentation undersells it. Shoppers form quality judgments in seconds, and a generic tag or no tag at all quietly tells them your brand is forgettable. Worse, ordering custom printed clothing hang tags often feels complicated: confusing material options, hidden plate fees, sky-high minimums, and printers who don’t understand fashion retail.
That’s exactly the gap ONO Custom Boxes fills. We design and print custom clothing hang tags for apparel businesses across the United States from first-collection startups ordering 250 tags to established labels reordering 100,000+ with transparent pricing, free design assistance, and nationwide delivery.
Custom clothing hang tag printing is the process of producing fully personalized clothing tags tailored to your brand your shape, your stock, your colors, your finish. Unlike pre-made retail clothing tags, every element is built around your identity:
The result is a small but powerful piece of apparel packaging that travels with every garment from your warehouse to the customer’s hands working as a silent salesperson at the rack and a brand reminder after purchase.
After more than a decade producing garment hang tags for American fashion brands, we’ve learned what actually matters to apparel businesses and built our service around it.
Standard sizes from 1″×2″ mini tags to 3″×5″ statement tags or fully custom hang tags shaped like your logo, a hanger, a bottle, anything your brand calls for. We also produce folded tags with interior panels for brand stories, care guides, or size charts.
Cotton twine, jute, satin ribbon, elastic loops, metal ball chains, and standard plastic fasteners pre-strung by us or supplied loose for in-house tagging. Eyelet reinforcement available in brass, silver, and black.
Custom swing tags, apparel price tags, size tags, care and content tags, thank-you tags, discount/QR tags, and seasonal collection tags plus matching custom product tags for accessories, footwear, and jewelry lines.
Our custom apparel hang tags are built for every corner of the fashion industry:
If you sell anything wearable in the USA, we can tag it.
Our minimum is 250 tags, making professional apparel branding accessible to startups and small batch makers. Per-unit pricing drops significantly at 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000+ quantities.
Pricing depends on quantity, size, stock, and finishes. Standard full-color cardstock tags typically range from $0.08–$0.35 per tag at common order volumes, while premium hang tags with foil or specialty stock run higher. At Ono Custom Boxes, our Artwork Preparation Guide helps ensure your custom packaging design is print-ready for high-quality results. To get started, submit vector files (AI, EPS, or PDF) in CMYK color mode, with a 1/8 inch bleed and 300 DPI resolution. Convert all text to outlines and keep it at least 1/4 inch from the edges. Review your proof to ensure accuracy before submitting. Following these steps will guarantee your design is perfectly printed on your custom boxes.

The cut line is the outline that marks where your custom packaging will be trimmed. It is typically represented by a solid black line in your artwork file.

The bleed line is the area extending beyond the cut line, usually marked with a green line in your artwork. Typically, a 1/8 inch (0.125") bleed is required to prevent any unwanted white borders.

The crease line, marked by red lines in your artwork, indicates where the box will be folded during production.

Perforation lines, shown as dotted black lines, indicate where the box will have small, evenly spaced holes for easy tearing or separation. These are often used for tear-away sections.

The safety margin, marked by dotted green lines, is the area around the cut line where important elements (such as text, logos, or graphics) should be kept clear.
